Founding of Transpetrol

1992

VTG GmbH acquires 51% stake in Transpetrol.

1994

Establishment of Bitterfeld branch

1998

Transpetrol and DB Cargo found MEG Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahngesellschaft

1999

VTG merges with Lehnkering. The rail division Lehnkering Chemie Transport is incorporated within Transpetrol.

1999

Founding of Transpetrol in Poland (Kattowitz)

2000

Acquisition of TMV Wien (later Transpetrol Austria)

2003

VTG acquires Transpetrol stakes from DB Cargo

2004

Renaming of the Austrian subsidiary to Transpetrol Austria GmbH
